I conceived the Lounge Deck of the Hummingbird h3 to serve as a connecting ribbon for the segregated
buildings of the h3. It is at once an informal court, an inviting entry and a simple unifying element of the multi-use
spirit of the h3. It also expands the living potential of the various rooms, as all primary rooms exit onto the decks,
lending an ease to "indoor-outdoor" living. This powerful and productive feature is inexpensive to build.
The Lounge Decks easily accommodate a myriad of furnishings and personalized use. Arid and semi-arid type mediterranean climates are very condusive to indoor-outdoor living scenarios and all Hummingbirds feature protective extended overhangs, ruducing adverse sun exposure.
