Yes, a LEAP home can be certified by LEED when its plans and design specifications are adhered to, and other mandatory requirements of the LEED rating system are met by the contributing facets of the project and project team. Because of its design, a LEAP designed project greatly advances the LEED certification objective.

Q. Can I choose my own components like doors, windows, exterior finish, etc. to build my LEAP home?
A. Yes, but why would you? A LEAP designed home is a synergistic design solution that brings together compatible components that render a beautiful, economical and efficient dwelling solution. We've already done the homework- so you can spend your valuable time managing other important aspects of the project.

Q. Are structural layouts included in LEAP plan sets of drawings?
A. Yes, schematic structural layouts are included in the LEAP plan sets. The plan purchaser is advised to engage a licensed professional to provide engineering of the structural layouts to meet the applicable building codes of the State and Local building jurisdiction where the LEAP home is to be built.

Q. What about compliance with State Energy Codes.
A. Requirements vary from State to State and energy performance is greatly dependent upon the components used in the building of the home. Therefore the plan purchaser is advised to engage an Energy Calculation service provider to perform the necessary computations and documentations required by the applicable building jurisdiction.
Q. Can a LEAP Adaptive plan be customized?
A. Yes. We will gladly perform limited customization to a LEAP Adaptive design for an extra charge of US$65.00 per hour. There are limitations, so just give us a call to discuss what you may want to do, and if we can accommodate you within your budget, we will.

Q. How many usages are included with each plan purchase?
A. One (1). One plan purchase equals one usage right to build a LEAP Adaptive design. You can call LEAP Adaptive do discuss re-use fees if you plan to build more than one (1) unit. Please refer to the appropriate license
agreement for detailed information.

Q. Once I have received a set of plans, and for some reason change my mind or decide that I don't want the plans, can I return them for a refund?

A. Within 30 days of your purchase, LEAP Adaptive will be happy to exchange your plan purchase for another plan of same or lesser value, or you may upgrade your purchase. Because the plans are an intellectual and licenced product, we are not able to offer a refund. Once you have received the plans, you are bound by the sales agreement which states that your purchase is non refundable.

Q. Is a LEAP Adaptive house a pre-fab house?
A. No. A LEAP Adaptive (LEAP) house is not a pre-fab house. LEAP has designed a product which may be built conventionally or by a "kit of parts" approach on site by conventional Wood frame, Light metal frame or structurally insulated panels (SIP's) as the main vertical and horizontal structural system.

Q. What makes a LEAP Adaptive home "Green"?
A. LEAP starts with effectively integrating Green measures into each of its designs, LEAP then supports the design with a baseline "Green" specification to help meet the "USGBC" LEED for HOMES rating criteria. As a professional member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), LEAP Adaptive remains current with the requirements, revisions and updates of the LEED for homes criteria.
